The 10th Congress of the World Federation of Acupuncture Societies was held in Thailand in mid-November. Dr. Li attended this meeting as a member of the executive committee. The theme of this conference was to promote the innovative development of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture.

At the meeting, Academician Huang Luqi, deputy director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and president of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Chairman Liu Baoyan and included vice presidents, executive committee members, working committee representatives, secretariat related personnel and representatives from more than 30 countries and regions. A total of more than 70 observers attended the meeting.

At the end of November, Dr. Li went to Xiamen University to attend the Fifth World Congress of Traditional Medicine. At the meeting, she spoke on behalf of the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She introduced our development history and experiences of CCATCM in North America to the delegates. She noted that our students were very hardworking and motivated, but there were some initial teaching challenges due to cultural differences. Through research on the particularity and practicality of the application of traditional Chinese medicine, the college has better arranged courses and teachers, greatly improved the quality of teaching, and allowed students to better master the knowledge and skills of traditional Chinese medicine. Her speech was affirmed and supported by guests from all over the industry.

In addition, the representatives also discussed how AI and artificial intelligence can help traditional Chinese medicine, and believed that these new technologies will help traditional Chinese medicine develop better in the future.

This conference was led by the honorary chairman, Academician Fan Daiming, and the chairman, Dr. Wang Yingqiu. It brought together more than 20 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Medicine Masters, more than 50 medical school presidents, more than 200 hospital deans, as well as many health care companies and risk Representatives of investment institutions. The focus of the conference is to share the latest research results of integrative medicine and explore how to allow the global public to enjoy the health management concept of “preventing disease, focusing on prevention, and achieving universal health”, and promote the world to move into a new era of “big health”.
