From affordable treatments provided by students under supervision to expert care for complex conditions, our clinics embody our commitment to both education and wellness.
Our Student Clinic is where education meets real-world application. It’s a public clinic where students gain essential hands-on experience by providing treatments under the close supervision of highly qualified, experienced instructors.
The clinic offers Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatments at reduced rates, making holistic healthcare more accessible to the community. We’ve been providing care this way for over 17 years.
When you visit the Student Clinic, you’ll receive treatment from a student practitioner who is guided and overseen by a licensed instructor. This ensures you receive safe and effective care while supporting the next generation of acupuncturists and TCM practitioners. It’s a vital part of our students’ training, allowing them to treat a diverse range of clients and conditions.
For patients with advanced or complex health needs, CCATCM is connected to established professional clinics founded and run by our experienced leaders, Dr. Diana Tong Li and Dr. Franklyn S. Chen.
These clinics are among the oldest and most established acupuncture and natural medicine centres in Atlantic Canada.
These clinics offer a wide range of natural therapies, often integrating TCM with other modalities like chiropractic care, naturopathy, massage therapy, reflexology, live blood analysis, and allergy testing, depending on patient needs.
Dr. Li and Dr. Chen both hold Ph. Ds in Acupuncture and TCM and have over 40 years of clinical experience. Their expertise is widely recognized, and many patients are referred by family physicians and specialists. They are provincial and national associations leaders and contribute significantly to the field through practice and education.
Our affiliated fertility clinic provides focused care for individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood, integrating the strengths of TCM.
This specialized clinic, located at the Quinpool Road address, leverages the extensive experience of Dr. Li and Dr. Chen in treating infertility.
Using the Dr. Li-Chen Natural Fertility Program—which combines acupuncture, TCM nutrition, herbal remedies, and other holistic approaches—the clinic has supported the births of over 590 babies over four decades. The focus is on enhancing reproductive health and working collaboratively with patients’ healthcare teams.
CCATCM believes in giving back and making TCM accessible. Our Community Outreach Clinic initiative brings TCM services and information to various locations and events.
Students and supervisors participate in health fairs, community festivals, and other events, offering treatments or demonstrations. Past events include the Halifax Mural Festival and The Spring Ideal Home Show.
