The CCATCM China Trip

Experience TCM at its Source

Studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is one thing. Seeing it practiced in the country where it originated is another level entirely. Every year, CCATCM organizes a unique opportunity for students: the TCM China Camp (or China Trip)

What is the TCM China Trip?

It’s an annual experiential learning trip for CCATCM students. The main idea is to give you a chance to see TCM in action in China, visit TCM hospitals, and get a feel for Chinese culture firsthand. It’s a chance to connect what you learn in the classroom with the deep roots of the medicine

Practical Details

This trip is arranged annually. An interesting point is that after landing in China, some or potentially most expenses may be paid by a third party, although specifics would need to be confirmed for each trip.

Hear From Our Students

I always just wanted to help people and I think acupuncture for me is just the perfect way to do that.

Emily McPhail

This was the only school in Atlantic Canada, where I could get the education that I need to add onto my current career, and just to help treat patients on a deeper level.

Stephanie Chaulk

I chose to study acupuncture at CCATCM because I wanted to learn acupuncture and help others. Becoming an acupuncturist allows me to blend Traditional Chinese Medicine with Western medical concepts, offering a more holistic approach to patient care. I believe that integrating these two modalities can bring unique benefits to patients, helping them achieve better health and well-being.

Chi Tran

I chose CCATCM to study acupuncture because I have always been interested in acupuncture and its ability to heal and bring balance to the body. From a young age, I’ve felt a strong calling to help others, and acupuncture seemed like the perfect way to combine my passion for wellness with my desire to make a difference in people's lives. CCATCM offers a supportive environment where I can learn and grow in my practice, and I’m excited to be part of a community that values holistic health.

Ruoxi Zhao

My name is Taylor, and I am 24, from Moncton, New Brunswick. After obtaining my undergraduate degree in psychology I realized that I wanted to take a different career path; and seeing how I have always been interested in “alternative medicine” and the body’s ability to self heal, I began to research acupuncture which led me here, to CCATCM. I have a passion for learning and helping people heal themselves. I sincerely look forward to meeting many new faces in the upcoming new year!

Taylor Colpitts

I love CCATCM and I decided to come here right after I graduated from high school. While I was in high school I have always just wanted to help people and I think Acupuncture for me is the perfect way to do that. In 2019, I joined CCATCM's TCM China Camp, (an experiential learning opportunity) to China. This was a trip of a lifetime, with Dr. Li, we got to visit a TCM hospital and I really learned a lot.
