Work alongside medical doctors, chiropractors, and other providers in centers that combine conventional medicine with alternative therapies, offering holistic patient care.
Provide treatments like acupuncture, cupping, and herbal consultations as part of wellness programs in the growing holistic health sector.

They practice modalities like qi gong, tai chi, fire cupping, moxibustion, electro-acupuncture, scalp acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, and more. Common settings include private clinics, wellness centers, spas, cruise ships, and naturopathic clinics.
Earnings vary, especially if you own your clinic where you set your prices (typically $35-$190 per session). As reported by Indeed, the average annual income for an acupuncturist is around $98,000.
While many medical businesses are hiring acupuncturists, the most common path is opening your own clinic, allowing you to be your own boss. Other options include working on cruise ships, in naturopathic or wellness clinics, hospitals, and spas.
Registration requirements vary by province. In self-regulated provinces like Nova Scotia, you can practice without a licensing exam. Five provincially regulated (BC, AB, ON, QC, NL) require passing the Pan-Canadian Written and Clinical Case-Study Examinations. Some provinces may require additional safety or jurisprudence exams.
Yes, our program is specifically designed to thoroughly prepare students for both national and provincial licensing exams upon completion.
CCATCM is proud that 100% of our graduates pass the licensing exams on their first attempt.
