Key Milestones and Events of 2024

January 2024: Expanding Our Community and Collaborations

We began the year by welcoming passionate students into our Acupuncture Diploma program, including two former staff members. Dr. Li also attended a National Career College meeting in Toronto, discussing strategies to enhance communication and potential partnerships to further Traditional Chinese Medicine education in Canada.

February 2024: Cultural Celebrations and Global Exchange

February was highlighted by our Chinese New Year TCM Festival, which brought together individuals from all backgrounds to celebrate Traditional Chinese Medicine. The management team also attended a Chinese New Year dinner with the Chinese Embassy, strengthening ties for the TCM China campus visa program to expand opportunities for international students.

March 2024: Strengthening Partnerships Across Canada and the U.S.

CCATCM leadership met with Miami Acupuncture and Massage College, Ontario Colleges of Acupuncture and TCM, and IT School of Ontario, among others, to explore new partnerships and job opportunities. Dr. Li and Dr. Chen also reinforced online teaching collaboration by meeting with CCATCM’s virtual instructors in Toronto, celebrating Dr. Li’s 60th birthday with them.

April 2024: Hosting a Prestigious Cosmetic Acupuncture Conference

Dr. Li hosted an esteemed Cosmetic Acupuncture Conference at Eight Branches College, positioning CCATCM as a thought leader in this growing field. The event showcased innovations and advanced techniques in cosmetic acupuncture, emphasizing CCATCM’s commitment to cutting-edge TCM education.

May 2024: Government Recognition for TCM Education

CCATCM received recognition from Hon. Brian Wong during Asian History Month in Nova Scotia, acknowledging the college’s commitment to cultural heritage and excellence in TCM education. Our efforts were also recognized by the Department of Education, reinforcing our reputation as an accredited acupuncture college.

June 2024: Alberta Academic Conference and Professional Training

Dr. Li, Dr. Chen, and Alina participated in the Alberta Academic Conference of Acupuncture and TCM, where Dr. Li was a keynote speaker, and Dr. Chen served as Chairman. Dr. Li also provided professional training in cosmetic acupuncture, further strengthening TCM education in Canada.

July 2024: International Collaborations and AI in TCM

Dr. Li traveled to British Columbia to discuss herbal medicine and clinic resources with local acupuncture colleges. She was also invited as the main speaker at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, signing a collaboration agreement with Sanya TCM Hospital to create more training opportunities for CCATCM students.

September 2024: Welcoming New Students with an Exciting Orientation

The fall semester kicked off with an engaging orientation and BBQ, welcoming a fresh cohort of students eager to begin their journey in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture training.

October 2024: A Month of Global Recognition and Graduations

CCATCM faculty attended the World Acupuncture Association Conference in London, where Dr. Li presented on cosmetic acupuncture. The team also participated in the Canadian International Chinese Medicine Conference in Toronto, where Dr. Li received the prestigious Best Alumni Overseas Award, reinforcing CCATCM’s global standing in Traditional Chinese Medicine education.

November 2024: Leadership in Integrative Medicine

Dr. Chen was invited as a speaker and chairman at the 8th World Conference on Integrative Medicine in Shenzhen, further establishing CCATCM’s leadership in holistic medicine education. Additionally, CCATCM was honored with the World Integrated Medicine Excellence Education Innovation Award for its pioneering role in advancing TCM education.

December 2024: CMAAC Annual General Meeting and Future Planning

The CMAAC Annual General Meeting covered vital topics, including the launch of a new chapter, strategies for improved communication, and key updates to corporate policies. CCATCM took this opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of its students, faculty, and partners.
