Bedford, NS — Nova Scotia will soon host a groundbreaking international collaboration in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), marking a major milestone for healthcare innovation in the region.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (CCATCM), located at 1306 Bedford Highway, Bedford, will proudly host the official Launch Ceremony of two transformative initiatives:

  1. The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Center in Canada – established in partnership with Sanya TCM Hospital, the largest TCM institution in Hainan Province, China, and hosted at CCATCM;
  2. The International AI-Powered Remote Teaching and Consultation Platform for TCM in Canada – designed to provide expert-guided virtual consultations and case-based education across the country.

This prestigious event will welcome a distinguished delegation from Sanya TCM Hospital, emphasizing a new era of global cooperation in traditional and integrative medicine. It marks a powerful step forward for Canadian students, practitioners, and patients alike, who will gain access to international expertise, real-time consultations, and enhanced educational tools powered by cutting-edge AI technology.

“The partnership not only improves diagnostic capabilities in TCM across Canada,” said representatives from CCATCM, “but also strengthens Halifax’s growing role as a center for traditional, complementary, and integrative health education.”

Government officials are expected to deliver opening remarks at the ceremony, reflecting the province’s commitment to supporting medical innovation and international collaboration.

We warmly invite members of the press and the public to attend and join us in celebrating this important occasion. Your coverage will help raise awareness of the growing accessibility and impact of TCM in Canada and beyond.
