Dr. John Yang Visits CCATCM and Makes Presentation

Dr. John Yang, a registered Doctor of TCM in British Columbia, was the guest speaker during the orientation day for our May intake at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and TCM on May 7.

The topic of Dr. Yang’s presentation, which he gave to a group of eight new and a number of existing CCATCM students, was using pulse as a guide to select acupuncture points.

About Dr. Yang

After he moved to Vancouver in 1989 Dr. Yang practiced TCM/acupuncture in his own clinic and later became an active participant in BC TCM association activities. Through association lobby efforts, in 1999 the government of British Columbia passed legislation and established the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of BC (CTCMA), a regulatory body overseeing the TCM profession.

Dr. Yang is currently the President of the Federation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Colleges of Canada. He is also elected to be the first Vice-President at the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture of British Columbia (ATCMA) and Chairperson of the Academic/Educational Committee of ATCMA.
