About Our Instructors

Dr. Diana Tong Li & Dr. Franklyn Shi Chen , Dr. TCM, ND, MD (China), Ph.D, Acupuncture Specialists, Founders & Instructors

Dr. Li and Dr. Chen have both obtained PhD’s in Acupuncture & TCM from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine. They have been practicing for over 25 years in Canada. They have successfully treated thousands of patients with various illnesses and conditions.
Due to the positive treatment results of patients with various conditions, including infertility, allergies, pain conditions and many other difficult cases, the Doctors have been interviewed frequently by local television, newspaper and radio stations. 
Every year Dr. Li and Dr. Chen attend national and international Natural Medicine conferences to present their research papers and exchange knowledge with other practitioners.
Dr. Li and Dr. Chen are members and directors of several National and Provincial Acupuncture and Naturopathy associations. In addition to their practice, Dr. Li and Dr. Chen have been teaching Acupuncture, Acupressure, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nutrition and Chi-Gung (self-healing exercise) for over 25 years. They are also founders of the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Li and Dr. Chen have helped many couples struggling to bring happy and healthy children into the world. As a result, Dr. Li and Chen have specialized in conducting research on infertility and developing fertility programs that help mothers and families struggling to conceive, have their dream come true of having a baby. One of the many accomplishments that Dr. Li and Chen are proud of is their success in having used their natural fertility program to help parents overcome years of frustration by conceiving and birthing a total of 307 little bundles of joy.
Dr. Li and Dr. Chen have presented many research papers at various international acupuncture & TCM conferences, such as, “Acupuncture Treating Infertility,” published in The Third International Congress of Traditional Medicine, Toronto, 2006.
 “A study on the pregnancy rate when using acupuncture treatment for infertility patients undergoing IVF,” which was presented at the 8th annual WFAS World Conference on Acupuncture in Sydney, Australia in 2013.

Dr. Anjli Joshi, BSC, ND

Dr. Anjli Joshi is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and a graduate of the University College of Cape Breton with a Bachelor of Science (Biology). Dr. Joshi has been an instructor with the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine as well as a tutor and teaching assistant.  Dr. Joshi has been an instructor with CCATCM for a few years and her quality of teaching is remembered by our students all throughout their professional careers. 
 

Dr. Qing Zhang, Dr. TCM, Instructor

I have been blessed to have spent over 25 years of my life researching and teaching Chinese Medicine. It is my dream to share my study and research with my students, and help them to be good TCM practitioners. It is also my dream to share my TCM skills and knowledge with the public, helping them to use ancient Chinese wisdom to improve their health, thus to improve their quality of life. Through many years of effort, Dr. Diana Tong Li and her partners worked to set up the best acupuncture college in Canada. This unique college is here to serve the people of Atlantic Canada. Now, I am living my dream at CCATCM, as Director of Public Education and senior instructor, sharing my knowledge and experience in Chinese Medicine with my students and the public.

Dr. Omri Broadnax, ND, OMD, DD

Dr. Sahu Omri is a master healer, teacher, and founder and owner of RUAH Spiritual Wholistic Health & Education; with his incredible counseling and reconciling touch ability has over 25 years experience in health, life, and martial sciences around the world from Africa, China, Korea, Tibet, Peru, Hawaii, Isreal, and Canada. Dr. Omri was blessed with a 10 year apprenticeship under an enlightened Grand Master over 100 years of age. Dr. Omri is a blessing to CCATCM, offering his knowledge and experiences with natural medicine to our students, along with teaching them the beautiful art of Qi Gung and Tai Chi.

Dr. Mengqiong (Sophia) Wang, Dr.TCM (China)

Dr. Mengqiong (Sophia) Wang has a Master of Medicine in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  She has held several positions including the dean of the herbal medicine department at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing for 7 years. She has 28 years of teaching experience in all areas of acupuncture and TCM, and we are incredibly lucky to have her join our team.

Ravee Chen, RA.c

Ravee Chen is a registered acupuncturist and also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Ravee is also a graduate from CCATCM and has spent two years as a teaching assistant, and we are happy to welcome him on our staff as a teacher this year.
