Dr. John Yang visits CCATCM and makes presentation

Dr. John Yang, a registered Doctor of TCM in British Columbia, was the guest speaker during the orientation day for our May intake at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and TCM on May 7.

The topic of Dr. Yang's presentation, which he gave to a group of eight new and a number of existing CCATCM students, was using pulse as a guide to select acupuncture points.

CCATCM attends Head2toe Girls Night Out Trade Show

A rainy and cloudy Saturday didn't affect the attendance at the Head2toe Girls Night Out Trade Show at the Halifax Forum on April 28.

The Canadian College of Acupuncture &TCM sent some their staff and students to the event and provided acu-massage, acupuncture and fire cupping to a large crowd in attendance. In addition to providing services, CCATCM was able to spread their message about the college including how acupuncture is a growing medical profession and promote the S-T & L-C Life Care Acupuncture and Natural Medicine Clinic.

CCATCM Staff and Students attend Multicultural Health and Wellness Forum 2018

On April 27 The Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine sent two staff members and four students to the Multicultural Health and Wellness Forum at the Halifax Forum. The event was put on by the (Im)migrant Health and Wellness Network and as immigrants living in the area attend, some of whom received treatments in acupuncture, acu-massage and cupping from our students.

Pan-Canadian Exam Results
 
This marks the first year that our college’s graduates wrote the Pan Canadian Exam.
Yesterday I received feedback from our recent graduate that all three of our students who took the exam passed both the written and practical exams, giving our college a 100% pass rate. Our graduate informed us that comparatively, the national pass rate was 64%.

On April 11, 2015 from 9:00 a.m-5:00 p.m. the Women’s Health and Wellness Conference is taking place at Saint Mary’s University. This conference will be discussing topics such as Cancer Prevention, Fertility & Pregnancy, Stress Management, Hormonal Balance, and so much more. This conference is to see Eastern and Western Medicine meet to explore a collaborative approach to advance wellness for women.
